Children’s Lunch Boxes

Children’s Lunch Boxes have become somewhat of an expression of their personalities, very often children like to have a lunch box which features their favourite television or film character.

Some of the examples of the earliest lunch boxes comes from the 19th century and were originally women baskets with handles. The metal lunchboxes started to be produced in the 1950s and have had somewhat of a resurgence with vintage boxes being used by grown ups or for unique storage ideas. The plastic kind that are used by children nowadays were introduced in the 1990s, and these have the advantage of being easy to clean.

The first licensed character lunch box was introduced in 1935 and featured Mickey Mouse. Our range of lunch boxes included Bart Simpson, Ben 10 and Minnie Mouse. So whichever character your child likes, you are sure to find one to match. View the range here.

Choosing Mens Formal Shoes

If you attend a lot of formal events or occasions, you will know the importance of having a pair of smart shoes. But the first time you need a smart pair of shoes, it’s difficult to know where to start.
First you must bear in mind the outfit that you will be pairing your shoes with and match the colour and style. If you are wearing a traditional black suit, black shoes would be ideal, but if you are going with a more modern cut of suit or colour, grey or brown shoes might complete the outfit.

Smart shoes can also be worn at work or to evenings out, with a pair of jeans and smart trousers. Boots may be preferable to some men who prefer the support of an ankle boots, which can also be worn for smart functions.

We have a wide range of smart shoes and boots to suit either formal events or the workplace, so you are sure to find for the occasions you need. Have a look here.

Nowadays, belts come in many different styles with many different materials used. Work belts are useful to have in your wardrobe as they are hard wearing and will last a long time, and will help keep your trousers fitted while you’re on the move.

Choosing A Jacket

The weather is so unpredictable right now, but come rain or snow, one thing is for sure, you need a dependable, good quality jacket. But what do you choose?

Hard shell jackets consist of three layers, the inside layer being a porous breathable membrane which protects you from the rain but also allows your perspiration to move away from the body. On either side of this is a fabric layer which gives the overall look of the jacket. They are also treated with Durable Water Repellent treatment.

Soft shells also have the DWR treatment, but don’t use the inside membrane. They are more breathable than a hard shell, providing you with an appropriate amount of protection and meaning you don’t get sweaty while wearing it.

We have a selection of hard and soft shell coats, so whatever you need them for, you will find what you are looking for.

Baby Walker

A baby walker is a seat, usually with a table that your baby can sit in and pushing with their feet. Contrary to what the name may suggest, they are not designed to help your baby walk, rather to provide them with entertainment while they cannot yet walk.

Many parents love baby walkers, especially those with very active babies, and they are quite safe to leave your baby in as many come with a bumper to stop your baby crashing into stuff. There are a few tips to bear in mind when using a walker. Never leave your baby unattended whilst using a walker, be careful if they are using the walker in the garden as surfaces may be uneven and walkers are only suitable for babies older than 6 months.

Our baby walker is a 2-in-1 with a rocker incorporated, it also has an anti-slip grip to prevent the walker sliding down inclines and has an electronic musical activity toy to keep your baby entertained.

Children’s Socks

Finding cheap but quality kids socks can be hard. Children often lose one sock of a pair so it’s a good idea to have plenty at hand, and yet know that they are going to last through play, school and sports. Socks are items that are essential but not often considered thoroughly especially when they get lost or ripped or mucky.
The word sock is derived from the Old English word socc, meaning light slipper, and were originally made from animal skins. Nowadays socks are made from a variety of different materials such as cotton, wool and nylon among others.
We have a range of excellent quality socks at competitive prices, so your child can always have a matching pair of socks.

More and more people have tablets and laptops these days especially during train or bus journeys. Women’s Pyjamas

While we all wrap up to go outside during winter, it’s just as important when you’re inside, especially when it’s cold as a low body temperature can affect your sleep.

Traditional pyjames consist of jacket and trousers made from soft fabric. Modern style variations include short sleeves or shorts worn instead of trousers. The word derives from a Persian word meaning “leg garment”. They were introduced into England in the 17th Century as lounging attire and in 1870 reappeared as sleeping attire as we know them now.

Our pyjamas come in many styles and designs, everything for fleecy fabrics for winter to summer styles. Have a look at our range.
