Many people, inspired by the current in-flux of cookery programs such as Great British Bake Off and Great British Menu, have returned to their kitchens to start cooking up a storm. But of course, you have to look the part and that’s where our range of Aprons comes in.
Aprons can be worn be many people, anyone from housewives to nurses, even blacksmith and farriers, although these are most industrial aprons. The word apron was originally “a napron” and gradually got changed over time. The apron was originally used for anyone doing housework to protect their clothes from dust and soot, and is now viewed as a retro-chic fashion accessory.
Our range of Aprons can be used either around the house or at work. We have a variety of styles, lengths and colours. Browse our range here.
Overalls are a cheap and inexpensive way of protecting your clothes while you’re at work. Your job may involve coming into contact with grease, oil, or spillages and so it’s important to invest in a good quality overall. Many overalls are made with thick, hard wearing, durable cotton and so can last for a very long time, even when being worn every day for work.
Overalls can be traced back to 1792 as “overall trousers”, the word boilersuit, which is interchangeable with overalls did not come into usage until 1928 and was first used by the Sunday Express Newspaper. Boilersuits are so called because they were first worn by men maintaining coal-fired boilers. Boilersuits are similar to jumpsuits, but looser, they often have thick pockets for tools, bolts, screws etc.
Our workwear range includes many overalls, for different heights and sizes from companies such as Dickies, Panoply and UCC. Browse our range here.
